Sexing BCM chicks

At six weeks old, I am going to say that any with combs that are visibly red are cockerels. In my experience with BCMs, females tend to stay darker and the red coloring in their neck comes out slowly and is not as prominent as males until they are older. A lot of times I don't see much copper coloration until after the first major molt.

I can't tell from that picture, but another tell tale sign in any breed for cockerel is any red coloration on the wings at this age.

Do you have pictures of some of the other birds from the hatch? Sometimes it is helpful to see differences in gender when there are others to compare it to.
