Is there a specific trait I need to look for when sexing my 9 week old buff brahmas? None of them have any signs of comb or wattle development, so I have been looking at their tails. I tried to get pics, but they look so much alike that I can't tell which ones I have taken and which ones I haven't. 8-|

I think
Cockerel
Pullet
Cockerel
Pullet
Pullet
cockerel
But I’m not very confident in my judgement.

they all look like pullets to me. Not sure why you're looking at the tails?

I had read on another chicken info site that you can sex young chickens by looking at their saddle feathers. According to what I read, longer saddle feathers and a higher tail depicts a cockerel, and shorter saddle feathers and a flatter tail depicts a female. I’m new to the chicken world, so I’m learning by trial and error;-) Thanks for the input!

Ah, I see. Well, male and female specific saddle feathers won't start coming in until chicken puberty, around 12-13 weeks. Tail carriage doesn't indicate gender.

I would be ecstatic if they were all pullets! I love their demeanors<3
