Sexing chickens 10 to 14 weeks old. I am at a loss.

Welcome to BYC. 6 out of 12 chicks being cockerels is approximately what one would expect if the chicks were bought straight-run or home-hatched. On the other hand, if you purchased them as sexed pullets, that number is dismal.
X2.

I hatched 20 of my own chicks and 12 were cockerels. It happens. You have to have a plan for the cockerels (sell, rehome, or eat them usually). Some folks start a bachelor flock. There's info on this site on how to do that - it can work well, or sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the space available and the individual chickens. But keeping all the birds together will stress out your pullets and the cockerels will fight, and eventually the cockerels will over-mate your pullets, so you'll need to do something. You could probably keep one cockerel with the pullets if you wanted to without too many issues, but the rest will need to go somewhere else. They're all beautiful birds!

Good luck, and welcome to BYC!
