Hello everyone. I just hatched eggs under my 3 broody hens and was just wondering when I will be able to sex them? They are frizzle bantams and are 1 week old. I know this is probably way too early to tell but when I do what will I look for? This is my first time raising frizzle bantams and already I have noticed that they are a lot smaller and feather later than other chicks I have raised before. I also heard that I couldn’t wing sex bantams, is that true?
Thankyou for any responses

I'm guessing they are bantam cochins since most are just labeled as frizzles.
If that is the case, bantam cochins mature fairly quickly. My little guy developed a red comb before he was fully feathered.
The best advice I can give is : Patience..

ETA: Win sexing can only be used on certain crosses (fast feathering × slow feathering) that are bred specifically for this. So no, yours cannot be sexed this way.

Thankyou
