Sexing chicks

Has anyone ever sexed chicks by picking them up by the scruff of there neck an if they drop there leggs down there female an if they pull them up to them selfs there male or vise versa?

I've heard it's a screwpot notion. I think it sounds kind of cruel, and I don't believe it would work. There are many notions similar to that, some involving pendulums. I will never try it, but I guess you could try, you'd just have to know the results may or may not be true

Yeah, that's a load of Bullsh*t. If it were all that it takes, no mistakes would ever be made! And we know we all get boys when we wanted all girls at times from the feed store!

Same goes for feather sexing, unless you know the lines of the parentage.

Wait until 4-6 week when most breeds will tell the tale on the males with size and color of combs and wattles.
