Sexing chicks

I just got 13 week old RIR chicks is there anyway to sex them or have to wait and see whos crowing and whos not

I've heard of vent sexing, it's when you look in their vent for reproductive organs I belive..... here is a link to a video on it:

Yes, you have to wait a while until they are older. Once you get the hang of it you can sex them quite young, but right now it may take 5-12 weeks to find out genders.

waiting to see whats what, going to pick up another 20 EE pullets (I hope) might come home with some cuckoo marans if they come in

so i will (hopefully) have my fill for chicks for the year
