Sexing Copper maran chick

I’m hoping shes a female because out of 36 eggs I’ve only hatched 2 chicks. One I believe to be a male. Any opinions on this little chick
She’s about 4 weeks old.

Too young wait till it’s about 6 to 8 weeks. But man, that’s a lot of eggs!

Way too young but the comb shape gives me the impression that it is a cockerel. But you'll need to wait at least 3 more weeks before having a shot at sexing it accurately.

Yes I know no more buying eggs on eBay for me lol I did find a picture of another maran I had some years ago about the same age and it’s waddles we’re very defined.

Okay just a waiting game now. I’m just hoping it’s a female to have a even pair and am able to breed them :/

He is one nice boy! I have never bought eggs online, I either hatch our own eggs, or buy chicks in store, lol.

We thought that too, but It actually turned out to be a pullet.
But my point is, on occasions, it can be hard to determine gender just by one factor, such as combs and wattles, unless they are real obvious. I have been fooled by a few chicks before.

Wow I’d be shocked those little waddles are big for a female how nice though I’m glad you got a pullet
