Sexing day old chicks

can anyone tell me how to sex day old chicks??

There are many links.

Some breeds you can tell if they have a single row of feathers or a double row
Others you have to squeeze the poop out of them and look for a pink little....thingy. Mike of Dirty Jobs did an episode on chicken sexing
I like to just wait till they are older - Every roo chick I have had has been the one to come up to me or peck at my hand. They are very rooish and their combs are redder much earlier.

You can find the video of that episode on the internet. Just google "vent sexing chickens". Just look closely at the choices, with the word "sex" in the search you might get some things you don't want to see!
