Hey everyone! So my hen hatched these two chicks all on her own and they're about five weeks old now. I was wondering if they were pullets or cockerels. My guess is one hen and one roo, but I'm not confident yet. Any guesses? (I think they both have pea combs btw)

Chick 1 has a bit of comb development, but not enough to say it is a cockerel at this stage. Watch the comb for size and color over the next few weeks.

Chick 2 is a pullet, in my opinion. Very small and pale comb.

These chicks have pea combs from the Easter egger side, not rose combs.

Thanks! I could never figure out the difference between a pea and rose comb lol.
