would you say pullet or cockerel on these two I just got today? The breeder was not there so his brother who didn't know chickens helped me get them.....

The one on the left is definitely male. The one on the right is female.

I'm very rarely wrong when it comes to Easter Eggers. That bird has the classic dark red through the wing/shoulder that is specific to males.

Not an Easter Egger. That's a Salmon Faverolle cockerel.

Because I am learning...what about these says rooster for sure? I have read that combs do not necessarily tell for certain, it's more the feathers- correct? Can you explain?

Last two are the same bird.

This one is cockerel based on the comb alone at this point. Male specific feathering will be showing up in the next month or so.

The random, patchy red on this one is specifically male.

Thank you for the specifics. I do appreciate all the info! I have another blue EE and knew from his comb and attitude very early on. But he is uniformally light blue with no variation? Very different from the top photo so I really was hoping that one was a girl!
