here are some better head shots, any signs of cockerel in these they're 11 weeks and I'm worried because I'm starting to see more pink in there faces, I'm no expert at all.

Hey! Sorry for not seeing this sooner, but I will try to help. It does look like a lot of pink in the face, but full body pics of each bird would help me determine a gender. :)

At that age, the combs are supposed to start turning pink. It means that they are starting to reach puberty.


You're the expert, so wrm54 will be pleased. My EE didn't get that red until about 23 weeks and laid her first lovely grey-green egg just a couple days shy of 25 weeks. Late bloomer I guess. But she is a sweety and is laying consistently so far.

As the others said, your pullets are reaching puberty so therefore they're wattles/combs will be getting bigger and redder. Expect eggs soon (hopefully! ;) )!
