Sexing eggs!

I am pretty much resigned to the fact that ALL 12 chicks are /were male (2 didn't make it to hatch, but I looked inside and they also had head spots).:barnie But, what odds!!:idunno I'm hoping that the woman that I got the eggs from actually did breed the autosexing ability out of them, but I know not to hold on too tight to that hope. I am giving them 1-2 more weeks before I really find out the truth. And if my luck is truly THAT bad, I don't raise birds for meat, but my husband will be making meals out of whoever doesn't find a home.:hit:hit And then I just might give up!!:he

I feel your pain. With CLBS I can only hatch males. I had one female DIS on day 19. Yolk fully absorbed just dead. :hu. I am cursed.

New to thread. I just finished my first round egg hatch. From what I can tell by wing and tail feathers all 8 are female. They are my eggs, just barnyard mix. But interesting to maybe get all females. Will try another hatch.

wow that would be a positive result! Ive just put 8 eggs into my incubator, 5 as round as you like and three borderline but I didnt have great choice this time.

as I mentioned before one of my pullet lays pointy eggs. I did choose less pointy ones and this is what came out:

I am still not sure if it is boy or girl. looks girlish but might be getting saddle feathers and the wattles are a bit bigger than at the other chick who I believe is a girl. they will be 2 months old on sunday (in 5 days).

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at 2 months old it definitively is a girl! it seems that less pointy egg choice worked!
