What should I look for and at what age? I tried searching a few things but didn't have much luck finding any info. I am not going to vent sex them. I have 2 that are 2+ weeks old now and the bigger one seems to be geting a white band on 'his' neck. I'm not putting any weight on their size because the smaller one took longer to get up and running after hatch and they seem to be growing at the same rate. I'm really hoping that I have one one each, especially since the kids named them Peter and Aly

This isn't the best picture, my phone doesn't seem to want to send the rest I took, but you can see the white band. TIA

the females will honk and the males whisper

has your babies feathers just above the tail come in, if so the males will be a shade of black and females will have a more defined grey lacing

hope this helps~RoO~

What about with a brown call duck and a white call duck at 1 month old? The white one is very petite so I am hopeing female. Can you tell anything by their bills?

Vicki

Thanks for the info

Nothing but peeping yet but the little tail feathers are brown, black and tan so I guess that would mean they are both girls which wouldn't be bad. I will be easier to find 1 drake then a a bunch of girls for 2 drakes. Time will tell for sure.
