Sexing mallard juveniles

My guess is male, there is a distinct color change on the head. Does he have a low raspy croak? Or does it sound like a loud honky Quack!? This looks like a Khaki Campbell to me, do you know the age of the duck?

wow I do hope some turn out to be females.

My mallards are 9 weeks old now. Take a look of this pic from a few weeks ago. The female is on the left and the male is on the right. Pay close attention to the long feathers at the end of the wing. Notice the lightening on the male? Keep watching and see if any of yours do the same thing soon. A few days after I noticed the color change, their raspy boy-quack became evident.

Excellent explanation & Picture. You have beautiful ducks. Is there a way to determine sex at a week-3 weeks old? Any 1 thing that would give a definitive assumption on sex?
