Sexing Mountian Quail

What is the best way for sexing Mountain Quail? Colors on their neck? Thanks

Males will have blue feathers on the back of their neck, females will have grayish feathers on the back of their neck. Other than vent sexing, it's the only way I know of how to tell them apart.

I've been searching in Canada for mountain quail fertilized eggs but very little info.
