Sexing my favorite Silkie- please give opinion

We might sell eggs next spring, but I"m hatching for myself first. OF course I keep telling Alan I might be coming back. Long trip, but I bet I make it again !! LOL !!

I"m excited everyone thinks pullet. SHE might not be the best right now anyway, but SHE is definatly my favorite, she is a cocky little thing, HER and a Lavender Bantam Ameraucana are the first ones to me, and the ones that stay with me. Now that they are getting bigger, As soon as the fair is over , I'll be separateing by breed and color, but for now I have 3 groups of babies, silkies, b. Ameraucana's, d'Uccles, Cochins, and a few odds and ends of breeds.

I have three silkies who are about 7 weeks old... two just started 'acting' like roos in the past couple days... they run out of their pen and flutter around like crazy, making noises exactly like my 9 wk. old salmon faverolle cockerels. The third silkie is more quiet, I'm crossing fingers I get at least one hen.

edit: the two 'acting' like roos were also the most friendly & outgoing as 4 wk. old chicks.

I don't have a guess as to your bird's gender, but she/he sure is pretty!

Bearing in mind that i am far and away not an expert, that silkie has some spikey feathers in the crest. That might indicate cockerel. Although i did have a young silkie with a spikey doo that turned out to be a pullet. Soooooooooooo . . . . .

It is just too soon to tell. Hope you have a girl, if that's what you want. But in any case, it is a very pretty little silkie.
