I wanted to be sure I had pullets. I was guaranteed pullets on 4 out of 5 of my chicks. Pics are of their wings at 1 week 20180405_140342.jpg 20180405_140356.jpg 20180405_140408.jpg 20180405_140426.jpg 20180405_140445.jpg

Feather sexing only works in very specific circumstances. Most purebreds cannot be feather sexed at all. And it must be done within three days of hatch to be accurate. Post full body pics taken in natural lighting, with no hands in the way, at 6 to 8 weeks of age for an accurate gender assessment.

you can only wing sex certain chicken breeds. You will have to post pics of their combs at 6-7 weeks please!
Yes! I made this mistake on my very first batch of chicks. I thought we had 3 Cockerels and 3 Pullets. The actual turnout was much better! We had 5 Pullets and 1 Cockerel. I'm not saying it always turns out well though. Anyway, I've used the other basic sexing methods ever since (waiting until 6-8 weeks old and looking at Comb, Wattle, Saddle and Hackle growth).

Ok, here they are at 6 weeks. Man they are getting hard to catch! Lol

I would say the red one and maybe the white polish are cockerels. The others are likely pullets. Post the white polish on one of the polish lists and they will tell you for sure. What kind of chicken is the red one? You will be able to know for sure in the next couple of weeks
