Hi there!
I could use some help with my two new partridge silkies. I was told they were 3 months old and one male one female. However, upon returning home I realized how difficult it is to truely sex silkies before 6 months. Despite that, I'd figure I'd give you silkie experts a shot at it! My first question is, is it possible these two are siblings? It seems to me they are too different in size and feather development at the head to be, but maybe that's because one's a cockerel and the other is a pullet? Secondly, any guesses as to the sex? I've read something about a lot of penciling on the feathers indicating female? If so, I'd guess the larger of the two is a pullet. Is it possible I have two roos or two hens? Let me know what you think!
