I have 3 peachicks I've gotten from my work, I am positive that my gender ratio is 2-1. One is showing the signs of being a male, orange preliminaries, very bold barring and his color is stronger... but I have two others that are almost identical to the peahens I see every day but they are noticiably larger and one might have been trying to fan. They are about 5 months old, and the barring is still very vivid on the one... i am confused... they are india blues I'm positive. can someone post photos of the juveniles of both genders?

thank you very much, I am pretty sure I have a male and 2 hens. is it normal for the peahens to stick their feathers up though? i thought just the males could..

Thank you both so much, I had pretty good hunch that I just had the one male. I had been working with him and holding him, he loves cuddles now. I am still working on my hens but I got some time still. I named all three M - Fender F- Electra & Curious Georgi (one is very daring and the other is pretty timid still. I can't wait till Fender gets his train in.

Thank you! Will post photos of em soon

Fantastic photo Zaz! Love the way you captured the color on their heads & necks! & all fanning at the same time -- just great!!!

Thank you for the welcome Ms. Terri. I'm very hyped up bout them and glad to join the peafowl group. So far they get along with our 21 chickens, but my little bantam rooster that has made himself into my lapdog/parrot still has a little of jealousy. am hoping he will get used to em though while they still are close to his size... lol
