Hello! I got 7 straight run polish chicks not too long ago and am wondering what genders they are. I have been looking at photos of sexed polish chicks and I’m worried she sold me all cockerels! 😂🤦‍♀️ And if anyone knows, what color will #7 be? He/she has a red tint and is darker than the buff chicks. The breeder said she had no clue, so that wasn’t helpful. And it’s smaller than all the other chicks for some reason, lol,(s)he’s my runt

Do you have any pictures of them as day-olds? I've found it easy (but not 100% accurate) to sex based on crest shape/size when they're still fuzzballs.

Looking at just the crests right now....I'm not super experienced but it does unfortunately seem like all cockerels. The polish in my profile pic turned out to be a roo, if that gives any reference. Although 6 might have a chance at being female...

Also, #7 looks like a Buff Laced Polish.

Yes! I do, and the 3 yellow ones are all buff laced. The pic doesn’t show it the best, but it is a reddish yellow colour

Based on that picture and angles, I would say out of the ones where I can see the crest clearly (not the two at the bottom), I'm fairly certain that the one in the top right with the single black dot on its head, below the two buffs, is a female. Also, the top-most buff could additionally be a female, but the black and white one has more of a chance in my opinion. Again, this isn't a very accurate method and more experienced people may frown on it, but it's worked splendidly for me so I think it's effective.

Besides those two (out of those I can see), they all look like boys. However...those are some very adorable chicks. I'm getting baby-chicken fever all over again, and I just moved a brood outside!

Mabye one more week. Nothing screams rooster tho but anything can happen wait one more week than post again.

Without significant comb/wattle growth, or male specific feathering, yes.
Thank you! That is very helpful to know!

Thank you so much! I really hope they aren’t all boys! That would definitely be a bummer🤦‍♀️😂. We have 12 more polish chicks set to hatch in 4 days along with a bunch of silkies, so either way we are sure to get some hens!!! 😁
