You can wait for them to crow or you can vent/foam sex them its pretty easy just press gently near the vent area if white foam comes out then its a male, its easier then it sounds.

Kay heres a tidbit for ya
Rosettas are just a color of coturnix, they are patterend like a tibetan, birds patterned like a tibetan are not able to be visually sexed, you have to wait for them to grow, foam sex the roos by their swollen gland above thier vent when they are sexually mature, or see one lay an egg. Only ways

All of which you can start doing at around 6 weeks old so not long of a wait.

according to the web, rosettas are more brown with only a slight reddish tinge and a "treebark" pattern. tibetans are a lighter red with a more noticeable pattern. I don't know, I'm just going by the web. Maybe they're the same, one guy called them rosettas (I bought some from him) and one guy called them tibetans (bought some from him, too.)

Rossettas are indeed a patterned tibetan

Only difference is the color of the one part... it's those birds i call "orange tibetan"

I dont call them rosetta because rosetta means RED to me, and the birds look nothing of the sort, esp when you hatch them with red tibetans! LOL!
