Hi I have 2 Rouens (7wks old) & 2 Runner ducks (8wks old).
I believe the dark chocolate runner is a female; the only one that quacks & loudly at that.

But the others I’m unsure. I thought the white runner was a female but it doesn’t quack.
My Rouens I don’t know. Their also very different in size. I got them same day from Rural King. The larger one stands almost as tall as my Runners.

The first sign is to hear them from their quacking or whispering. If they're not doing it by now, most likely you will know female and drake apart. The drakes will get their drake feather usually around 8-12 weeks of age. The male Rouens will become a similar coloring to the wild Mallard breed of duck around 9 weeks of age when they molt into their adult feathers. The males and females can have different colored bills. You can also do vet sexing but it can be very dangerous.

I heard a wanna be quack somewhat from the small Roeun, named Arwen atm. Lol

Other than it’s still the same immature noises they’ve been making excluding chocolate the runner who’s been quacking since like 3wks or so. Lol

I read that the white runner according to bill color should be female but shouldn’t she be quacking by now also?
