Sexing salmon Faverolles chicks-6 weeks old

Were they vent sexed by a hatchery?

If they have black breast feathers, they are cockerels. The one is definitely a cockerel. The other is also looking like a boy as well.
We got them shipped from our local farmstore, when they were young they looked like females, and they have small combs so I’m not sure. All the other young SF Roos I’ve seen had way more black all around, can a chick have just a little black and just be a poorly colored hen?

Anything is possible with hatchery birds. They still have quite a bit of down. Maybe they'll grow in lighter. The one on the left I feel confident is a cockerel though.

Tried to get some better pictures

They have more dark feathering than I would expect in pullets, but far less than I would expect in cockerels. I've seen a lot of pictures of odd feathered hatchery bred pullets. My gut is that both of these are off colored pullets. Hope that my 'gut' is correct.
I agree and that's my gut feeling as well. I will also add that one has a very sparse beard and the other none at all... Doesn't necessarily mean they are mixed, but perhaps should be noted especially when their color is also strange.
