sexing salmon faverolles--still confused (update)

Well, my bird is two weeks old now, and nothing but dark colored feathers on the wings--so I think it must be a boy.
But it is weird about the others at the feed store. They can't all be boys, can they? I am going back to see if they have any left and if I can find some girls!

Cici_p,
If the feed store still has chicks the same age as your chick you will be able to tell the difference.
My last hatch was very easy to tell who was who at 5 days old.
You should get all the pullets you can. One can never have enough Faverolles.

You will not be disappointed by this breed in my opinion.
Can you post a current pic of you little one?

The feed store may have mostly males because everyone picked out the girls already. Just a thought anyway....

Well, I went back to the feed store today to re-examine the faverolle chicks. . .I am *still* a little confused about sexing the hatchery quality chicks.
There was only one in the mix that I was *sure* was a girl--very light colored wing feathers, almost white.
Some I would say were definately boys, all dark colored wings.
Then there were some where the first wing feathers to come in were very dark, but then the higher up wing feathers were the salmon color, and also some salmon color on the shoulders--but still many many completely dark feathers on the wings.
Would these be girls or guys?? It is possible for girls to have dark colored feathers, but is it possible for guys to have light colored at this age??
I wish I had been able to take pics, but didn't think to have my camera.
I did bring home the one I was sure was a girl.

I really don't think they have been "picked through" for the girls, because you can't really tell when they are younger, and it is pretty much the same chicks now that they had a week ago. . .
Pretty sure mine is a boy at this point--all the feathers coming in are dark.

The lady I got my Favoralle roo from showed me pics of her babies so I could see my roo as a baby. All the males had dark feathers, and all the future pullets had very light, beige feathers.... not a dark feather on them, closer to white.

I would love to help out but without seeing the chicks....well you know. I will post a pic of my little pullet that has some black in her feathers with one that does not and one of the roos that has some tan in his feathering.

*edited to post pic* The pullet on the far right of the pic is the only one out of this hatch that had more black in her feathing
