Sexing Saxony by Color - 6 weeks

I got Saxony ducklings in early May, and they're getting really big. My girlfriend sexed them for me, and she said there were 8 drakes and 2 ducks. However, now I'm thinking they all look like ducks. I do notice that some have a blue/green color coming in on their heads, though. So maybe those are drakes. Has anyone had experience enough to say what color the guys and gals should be at this age?

Also, the color they're starting to get in is really bad. The feathers on their backs look laced and they have brown/buff laced head feathers. Will these clean up?

I think you'll be able to voice sex them sooner than to color sex them. Mine are about the same age as yours and the girl is quacking loudly.

Right around the 6 to 7 week mark I could hear a distinct difference in their voices.

Ducks: hoooooonk honk honk really deep and loud. Not quite goose like but think volume wise!

Drakes: a whisper of a wahh wahh...very quiet sound.
