I have 2 silkies, 6 weeks old from the Easter hatch-a-long. Are they pullets or cockerels? I have no experience with silkies whatsoever 🤦‍♀️ This is my first time .

@PippinTheChicken i have read your article, but my brain doesn’t seem to be working 🤦‍♀️😂

The white one is a cockerel. The black one appears to be also but I'm a little hesitant to say for sure.

I was thinking by the size of the comb the white one was a cockerel, but it displays no cockerel behaviours at all 🤷‍♀️ Thank you for your reply :)

My silkie rooster is very docile and calm. He really showed no cockerel behavior like some of my others did early on either.

This is my first time with silkies, I ordered eggs hoping to get showgirl’s, but with a possibility of getting silkies. I’ve always had a fear of silkies (I got attacked by one as a child and found them very flighty) but these two are absolutely lovely, like I say, I have no knowledge so I appreciate your help.

No problem! I'm not an expert by any means but I've enjoyed having silkies in my flock. One out of my 3 are a little flighty but once you pick her up, she loves snuggles. I currently have bachelor pad and even though he's the smallest, he's the toughest.
