This silkie is near 8 months old, was sold as a lady but I suspect he is a boy by looks. He doesnt really act like a roo (no crowing etc) but he is the boss! I have caught him sitting on an egg for nearly a whole day as well but I have heard that sometimes roos will sit on eggs?

Heard one of our small flock crowing. Thinking this one or one of my polish is the culprit. Would you say this is a roo? I got this chick just after Mother's Day, so would be a little over 4 months old now.

Yes! That is 100% a rooster!

Thanks so much for the confirmation. The roo characteristics are pretty obvious, but I'm a newbie to chickens, so wanted to make sure before having to find him a good home
