sexing similar breeds the same way as barred rock chicks?

Is it possible to do the dot on the head guess that can be attempted with barred rock chicks with chicks of other breeds like cuckooed breeds and other barred breeds? How about penciled?

Black and barred birds can be sexed like barred rocks. Barred rocks are called a semi-autosexing breed. If you are good at sexing barred rock you can expect a rate of about 90-95 % success. This only works if the male carries two barring genes and the female can only carry one barring gene. This does not work on heterozygous barred males.
