~Sexing White Bobwhites~

Hello, I have some white bobwhites and I am having a little trouble sexing them. I was told that if they have black on their beak they are males and if not, they were females. Well I put a pink beak and a black beak together and they fought like crazy ....so does anybody know how to sex them?

Can you feel a difference in width of the cloaca? Obviously if there is a big difference the wider cloaca will be the female.

I tried.....not much different, but I dont think they have ever layed before

There is an old vent sexing thread somewhere by monarc23 where she describes specific characteristics of male and female vents. Its not for bobwhites but it may work.

Bobwhites dont produce foam like coturnix do so it doesnt work

Yeah, I dont even have my whites anymore, Have some in the incubator to start with them again though
