Sexing Wyandotte Chicks!!!

Hi,

I have a clutch of golden laced Wyandotte chicks that are 1 week old and Ameracana X Wyandotte chicks that are 4 days old. What is the best way to try and sex them at this age?

When they were about a week old, I was shocked to notice how much less developed the wing and tail feathers were on the cockerel. Check to see if you find the same thing. I had two columbian wyandottes last year that were all fuzz at 5 weeks and everyone said roos, they were pullets. My marked cockeral feathered in fast all over, so this method is questionable. You will have to wait 8 weeks or so to tell IMHO.
