Its just a close up view of the cloaca. If there is a bump, its a roo. If its a round hole, its not. Its not a mythical look at the feathers, or size of feet, just simply looking at where either the egg comes out, or the sexual organs are. The video is 2 very small children doing this on much younger chicks so i do feel confident. Its a youtube video

How old are the chicks. I've heard this is only accurate within the first 24 hour of the chick's life. I think any time after then the females will develop very similar to the males and can also be life threatening if not performed within the first 24 hours.
