Sexing your Silkies (PICTURES AND TIPS - Updated July-5-12)

Pics
Can they develop streamers as early as 6-8 weeks? I bought 4 Silkies (3 blue, 1 black) and two of them have long little tufts while two do not. I've been told the smaller silkies in a batch as more likely females, so I picked 2 small ones without tufts thinking they may be hens and took a shot in the dark with the other 2. I wasn't sure if Silkies feather out like other chickens or are slower, this is why they have odd little tufts on thier head while others do not?

Any opinions on this one

So I picked up a new silky today!! Yay!! I picked the smallest of the batch, praying for a female! Haha! I was hoping someone with a little more experience can give me an educated guess on her (wishful thinking) sex? Thank you so much, she's 5-6 weeks old.

Is there a way to sex them while they are few days old? We have 2 and i noticed that 2 of them have a little like a mohoc on their heads the rest dont have it

I don't see anything particularly boyish about either of them. They're non bearded, I'd expect bigger combs and wattles if they were cockerels. Can you get a close up picture of their combs?

Bird #2: (this one is the biggest and I think he's a roo. The other plucked a few of his feathers out on his neck)
