Is Clementine a Hen or Roo!?? She is just over 6 months old... really confuses me! I have a silkie rooster and knew by this point that he was a sure roo! But Clementine hasn't laid an egg, isn't as friendly as my rooster, and hasn't crowed either!

Hi everyone! This is my 28 week old silkie Goldie. As you can see, Goldie has HUGE wattles and comb. They grew This large within the last month, but he/she does not crow. Can anyone tell if it looks like a pullet or rooster? The other day Goldie was making the egg sound and scratching around in the nest boxes, when I came back out a little later I found an egg in the corner of the coop that Goldie lightly tapped on to "show me" where it was. But sense I didn't see Goldie lay the egg, I still don't know if it's a boy or girl! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So here's a funny one:
For the 1st 8 weeks, I thought male.

Around 10 weeks my opinion changed to female. (even coloring & rounded crest)

At 6 mo, my silkie began to lay eggs.
:yesss:

At 6.5 months, my silkie went broody.
:th
She just hatched some chicks:

....... and now she started crowing.:barnie

Goldie is a rooster. Only a male silkie would have a comb like that. Females tend to have a blue comb (silkie.)

Clementine is a girl. She has light blue skin patch behind her beak which all my silkie hens have. The round head crest says pullet as well, cockerels head crests tend to go back rather than up and out and around. Pretty bird.
