hey everyone so my two duckies are 3 weeks old one is still peeping the other sounds like starting to quack it’s like breaking up. One was born longer lighter beak and other short pinker beak - in praying for one female one male so I’m super anxious lol. Any ideas or thoughts? video won’t load ugh
Thanks !!!!
Actually I held my hand out and now I feel like I heard both voices changing ?!?!? Oh no if they both sounds similar at 3 weeks are they both same sex? I’m confused because they both look different the lighter beak one is fatter and wider the darker longer beak one is thinner and longer body. Strange cause the fatter lighter beak when born had the smaller beak and the darker beak now had longer beak which I read may mean male and female. Thanks so if I’m confusing I’m just hoping since they look different they’re opposite sex lol

Many breeds of ducks cannot be sexed by bill color. By 5-6 weeks their voices will change enough that should be able to voice sex them, they are still a bit young. Fingers crossed you get what you want!
Ok thanks - I just remember my only two other Pekins looked so different and the lighter beak turned out to be a boy. I remember hearing the different voices really early and knew their sex pretty young. I’m getting worried they are both quacking which I guess Would be two femal3s which wouldn’t be terrible I would end up hopefully adopting a male or something I just really wanted a pair like my last two ducks - thanks for your help ; )
