Seymour, Missouri-Apple Festival

If anyone is interested........the Seymour, MO. Apple Festival is Sept. 10-12th on the square. Lots of fall crafts and tons of apples for making sauce and whatever!! Lots of fun!

You are a hoot!! Seymour is about 20 minutes EAST of Springfield on hwy 60.

Thanks Ozark hen! I looked it up and it's quite a ways from me. We usually go up north around Waverly for our apples. I have spent alot of time in Branson over the years but since they butchered up the waterfront, we stay away. Shame, I have alot of great memories staying at the city campgrounds and feeding the geese!

I know what you mean about Branson, we seldom go there, big time tourist trap.

Btw, I was actually thinking about a trip to Branson this fall or early spring. You telling me it isn't as great as it sounds? Give me the scoop before I take off!

Michelle, if you go to Silver Dollar City during the Fall Craft time...coming up in the fall of course, you will have a wonderful time. There are some good shows and excellent restaurants, too. I just don't care for all the shops with the same 'ol things..for high prices. They sell quilts for hundreds of dollars and you can get the same kind around the thrift shops in the small towns around here for much less, etc.
No, you will have a good time...it is just me...

I really haven't decided yet. We get tickets for several of the shows down there and my boss has offered me some. I was thinking about taking a friend and just get away for the weekend. I was so young the last time I was there, I don't remember too much about it. How far is Seymour from Branson? Or is it anywhere close?
