seems to be the topic on here now. I have a 7 mo salmon faverolles, suzette, that in the last 4 weeks has taken to jumping out of enclosure(I have yet to repair winter damage to my crappy construction of hen area)early in a.m. and we can't find her until I let the other hens loose later in the day(never tried REAL hard) ANYHOO- she didn't come into chic pen tonight for her chicken trance time and I was having fits trying to find her(I do NOT want them loose at night) and FINALLY discovered her quietly in an old stall in barn in the hay bin(with hay in it) with 18 eggs. she was NOT happy to be removed and I had to do minor construction on chicken pen in the dark to keep her in tonight. guess I will be repairing pen TOMORROW. don't have a roo yet and my cockerel is only 8 wo and a black australorp so.. my original plan WAS to breed salmon faverolles but my sf cockerel died at 4 days old. guess I can use suzette if none of my ba girls is broody. too cute.
