I also have 3/4ths covered. I used a large piece of garden cloth we had left over.. it works great it shades but they can see thru it at the same time and allows great air flow too. I have this on the east side, then blue tarp on top and 1/4th way down so 3/4s of the walls are open on the south, west and north sides... i do agree with the poster about if you have tarping on top, cut a slit or too for rain to fall or sags and calpses can happen.. I have my slits away from where the bird roost.
I have them as close to a big old cypress tree as they can get on the north west which is the direction of 90% of our storms.
