Ravenwhisper stalked off into the forest, but made sure she went a different way from Elkheart. She was a good hunter, and it helped her take her emotions out. (Poor prey, lol)

Elkheart returned to camp after a bit, a rabbit in his jaws. He placed his catch on the fresh kill pile and waited to hear the fate of Meadowsong from his leader.
He was quite sorry about it, but he knew that no outrageous act like what Meadowsong had done could be pardoned. He lay down alone and started grooming himself.

Her ears flicked forward. She heard scuffling in the undergrowth. Mouse. She thought. She quickly located it and sprung with precise agility, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

Ravenwhisper then carried her plump prey back to camp, depositing it on the fresh kill pile. Then sitting back on her hind legs, curled her tail gracefully over her forepaws. Her silky, jet black fur making her light brown eyes stand out even more than usual.

Elkheart kept grooming himself, but couldn't help but steal glances at Ravenwhisper between licks.


Squirreltail was waiting at the camp entrance for Blackpine to arrive. When she spotted him coming toward her, she called, "Where've you been all night? We have to take the dawn patrol. Come on!"
