Meadowsong needed to warn Blackpine. She was scared he might choose her over his clan. She couldn't stand by and let Blackpine leave his clan, especially when it was her fault. She slipped out of camp and galloped awkwardly through the undergrowth. She hadn't seen him in a moon, and her belly had largely swollen since then. She paused at the border, her ears pricked and senses alert. She tasted the air for any scent of Blackpine.

Blackpine found himself absently padding toward the border with Flameclan, his heart naturally drawing him there. Suddenly he stiffened, catching a scent, could it be?... excitement lept in his chest as he mewed, “Meadowsong?”

"Blackpine?" Meadowsong whispered. She could hardly believe her luck. "Blackpine!" SHe called a little bit louder.

Meadowsong purred her silky purr. She licked him over and over again all over, happiness flooding through every part of her. How could she have ever doubted her love? Tears ran down her fur and she kept licking him. Every bit of her loved every bit of him.
"Blackpine--Blackpine they're going to ask you to join my clan at the gathering! Don't go, dear! How could I ever forgive myself for tearing you away from your clan? Your clan is your home! That would be torture for you to leave."
