It took us five years to finally get a chicken coop. We purchased a Producer's Pride Defender from our local Tractor Supply. No regrets. We have 16 chickens with 4 of each California White, Blue Australorp, Rhode Island Red and Barred Plymouth Rock. The California White and Barred Plymouth Rock are 6 weeks and the Blue Australorp and Rhode Island Red are 4 weeks. It is going to be fun sharing my adventure with everyone. Thanks for allowing me to share my coop with you.

I was beginning to suspect that. We purchased two additional nesting boxes to hang in the run. Hopefully, the additional nesting boxes will provide extra privacy for the ladies to lay their eggs. We are fortunate to live in a mild climate. Thank you for your feedback.
Since you are in a mild climate I'd just use the run as a coop. Just cover one end completely and two sides about 4' in, conect another run onto the front and you should have plenty of space.
