i know this is a chicken website but I have a recent hatched baby duck that is constantly shaking unless doing a controlled action like drinking or sleeping it's is currently living in my room with a special heat lamp in a controlled temperature environment so is not cold at all the duck in a call duck if that makes any difference we didn't not incubate this duck it was out with its mother and its sibling is perfectly healthy and running up and down the garden without a care in the world. If any of you know what is wrong or how I can help the poor little thing then please leave comments. Thank you

Oh sorry I'm still trying to get to grips with all this it's a bit confusing

No need to apologize, you are new and it is confusing, even to some of us oldsters. Was the ducklingshaking even when out with its mother? Does it eat and drink well?

When with a mama, ducklings can go back and warm up under her. So they don't stay cold. Is it still shaking with the heat lamp on? Is she getting some "duck starter" type feed, I don't know what they sell. I also would recommend you post on the "Duck thread,"

The baby was shaking outside that is the reason we took him in. His siblings are with the mum and completely fine outside which is good and yes it's been several days now in a controlled heat environment and he still is very wobbly and shaking :( he is eating and drinking normally we have chick crumb which we have fed all the baby's we have had for years with so I don't know what is wrong. I have posted on the duck thread now Thankyou for the advice :)
