I want to add a one year old Shamo Rooster to my flock of 10 regular hens (Mixed breed, Americauna's, marans, golden comets, etc...). He is already pretty tall but has more growing to do.
I just love the idea of this tall, leggy rooster strutting around free range (about 3.4 an acre fenced in area) with the hens. I do not have any rooster for him to fight and there are tons of areas to roam. Does anyone have any experience with this?
From what I can tell most breeders of these birds don't ever even free range them because of thier value and specific breeding needs (and because they would fight other roosters). I know the shamo hens can be aggressive but I wont have any of them in the flock.
