That's interesting. Of all the eggs I have in my incubator I have one that is so pointy it's hard to tell which end is which. I hope it hatches so I can see if it's a roo.
 
Not true. I chose the roundest eggs, discarding the pointy ones and got 5 boys and 3 girls.
 
Its an old wives tale(you know how those old wives can be)

Also dont believe the needle over the egg trick, though this one is usually right about 50% of the time.
 
When you hear this silly stuff, think gee would there be millions of excess cockerals generated by the poultry hatcheries every year if there WERE a way to not PRODUCE them - they cost a ton of money and produce no profit.
