That emu egg is huge compared to the chicken and quail eggs!!! Does it have a different texture? It looks to me like it is sort of bumpy maybe? Or maybe it's my monitor.

yes! the texture is completely different than a normal egg! it's as bumpy as it looks.....more rough than bumpy, actually....very "dinosaur-ish".

i'm really stoked about these eggs. nervous too. this will be my first attempt at anything other than normal poultry.
