A few months ago I had a broody silkie hen. I took four eggs and put them under her for hatching. I lost track of how long she had them, so I didn't know when to expect some little fluff balls. Well, after a couple weeks I had left for the weekend. I left on Friday and came back on Sunday morning. As soon as I got back I went out to the coup to candle the eggs. I reached under her and pulled one out and it started peeping. I don't think I've ever been so excited. Later that day, I got two of them to hatch, and the next day one more hatched. The last one never hatched, but I was more than happy with my hatch percentage.
