i brought my favorite girl chicken inside to put some neosporin on her comb because she got bullied by annother chicken, and when i tried to set her down she made the cutest whining like noise and kept flying over to me until i held her. now she is sitting in my lap quietly, inside for the first time since she was 3 weeks old she is now almost 12 weeks old and the sweetest little bugger ever!

I was so pleased with my young brahma cockerel today, he is definitely gonna be a keeper The flock had just gotten in trouble for eating a tomato off my hubby's plants

and were banished from the garden. They promptly went over to nibble on the strawberries so I turned the sprinkler on to make them leave! All the girls thought they were trapped on one side of the yard because they didn't want to cross the sprinkler and get wet. Ol' Rooster is 13 weeks old. He figured out that the sprinkler can't cover all the ground at once, so when it rotated to another patch of grass he looked at his ladies, squawked, and started running across the yard. All his ladies followed him to safety haha! Not a single wet chicken. He's not even crowing yet, and already such a gentleman

He also makes a point to be the last one in the coop at night, and if there are stragglers he chases them in! Here's my boy:

aww! he's cute! i have two boys that are brahama mutts they ain't no smart chick'ns they'r mean too so they have to go but they're about as old as your little buddy! again he is adorable!

Thank you! That's too bad about your roos, I thought Brahmas were known for being docile. Here's hoping he stays this way after puberty lol.

my chicken was in side in the mud room because i was playing with her and she flew over to my bowl of baked ziti and started filling her mouth with my lunch! so i just let her have it lol!
