I have been using this picnic blanket to help dry them off and cuddle with since the first day they came home and they are both really attached to it

And because, you know, brooms make for a really good place to sit apparently lol

We finally had a couple of warm days this week end, so we let our new ducklings out for a bit to enjoy the pen and meet our remaining KC.

Everybody seemed to get along well, and the ducklings started following the adult duck everywhere.

Now they're back in their brooder (back to freezing temp -.-) but I'm sure the little guys can't wait to be able to move outside, and the KC to have company again.

In the pics there are: 2 Rouen (male and female), 2 Gold Stars, 1 Blue Swedish and 1 Welsh Harlequin

We have as many as 30 muscovy's and a handful of mallards on the pond next to my office. It seems they have all started to brood. There are 3 confirmed clutches so far. I spotted this lady sitting on a potential 4th. She set up her nest 3 ft from our front door! She's been on there for over a week. I have yet to spot her off of it.

our newest flock member. PJ. I hatched him out last year, he was up north with my in-laws but they needed to get rid of some males. Husband didn't tell me. Just saw him run across the yard one day.

How precious Muscovy's are my favorite breed, so sweet and special ducks, great mama's too. Hope ya'll watch out for her. She's going to need it with out protection.

I got four little Rouen ducklings last November..my first ducks...and have loved every minute of it!
