Solved Shared bookmarks question

I've found a few rather useful posts that I bookmarked, and ticked the shared box.
Afterwards, it occurred to me, is there anything like one ought to ask permission before hand?
I feel a bit silly asking about this, to be honest.

Umm, @Kiki when I push the link which you say is yours, it comes up with all mine, not just the shared ones. And the the link that you say are mine, are my shared ones.
What's going on here?

What I was wondering, is how did @Kiki link to my unshared ones? I thought only the shared ones could be seen by other people?

Oh, I think I've got it now. So the link that you provided, if I click it, it goes to my bookmarks, and when someone else clicks it, it goes to theirs. Is that correct?
