Sharin' the nest

I have 2 Rouen hens & a chicken. They all grew up together. Is it common for a duck & a chicken to share the same nest? They just started laying & don't care if it's a chicken or duck egg they sit on-lol.

yeah they will do that and mini ducks have hatched chicken eggs and mini chickens have hatched duck eggs we have a hen that is laying on duck eggs right now

we had a duck and a goose that made one big nest it looked like two nests that were put together and they would lay side by side
