Little Bit got lonely I guess. She sat in there all day until I finally kicked her out. I was worried the eggs would get too hot. Daryl, my bigger hen is currently sitting on 5 eggs in there, but everyday, Little Bit hops up there to lay her egg and hang out for a while. Is this ok?

That is normal- hens like to squeeze in the same nest if they can. They will even steal eggs from one another if you have two broodies. They can carry eggs under their wings and walk over to "their nest" too!

If you want your broody by herself you can separate her. Hopefully you have her eggs marked with pencil so you can tell which are hers.

Totally normal! I had two broodies that I swear plotted against me! One would sit on the bottom and sit on nonexistent eggs(I got a bator so I didn't need a broody hen but of course that doesn't stop them) and the other would sit on top facing out ready to jab any hand that dareth enter!! I got a blood blister from those two hens!!!

Yep! Six of our hens share 4 nesting boxes, but when the two silkies go broody (together in the same box...) the americanas sit ON TOP of them to lay eggs even though there are 3 other open boxes. Yours are pretty cute together like that!

They are so cute. I have the eggs marked, but my Japanese bantam eggs are so tiny that it's super easy to tell the difference. Thanks for all the feedback everyone!!
